I kept my promise and didn't watch "Easterly" any further. As I recently experienced (once again) my boredom with TVB series and due to a friend's recommendation, I picked up "Fairy from Wonderland" starring Hu Ge and Ariel Lin (not TVB productions as you can tell from the leads). Ended up enjoying the series a lot more than I thought I would because I have always avoided productions other than TVB's. My addiction to the lead actor and actress of "Fairy" continues onto "Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008". I have not watched any of the past versions so this is my first time watching the novel-based series. I'm up to around episode 10 and liking the series so far; it keeps me watching. Kathy Chow is also in here, playing Yang Kang's mother.

Ariel Lin has this really cute look, I'm starting to like her more and more. You could say my recent addiction is her.lol..Next on my playlist probably will be "It Started with a Kiss" with Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin.

Argg, temptation took over and I couldn't resist myself from watching "Easterly". Initially, I just wanted to view an online episode to get the feel of the series and before I know it, I stayed up late to watch all the released episodes. Now I'm beating myself over it because I told myself to wait and enjoy the series when all the episodes are out. Even though I really like the series, I won't watch any further until my semester break. I'm up to the part where Charmaine is staying at Liza's house and learning proper etiquettes from her. So far, this series starts out well, I enjoy every episode and things are moving at a fast-paced. This is also my first time watching Raymond Wong and Edwin (....I can't seem to recall his last name) on television. Nothing much to say except I like them, especially Edwin. Is he a new actor? Anyhow, it's refreshing to see Charmaine's collaboration with Raymond. Their romance is very cute to watch. Joe is also doing a good job.

P.S: New layout. Joe & Charmaine in "Maiden's Vow"

I watched all the 20 released episodes of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008" (total is 50 episodes) which is a very engaging series. One of my favorite scenes up-to-date is when Huang Rong (Ariel) was trying to cheer Gou Jing (Hu Ge) up after he learned about the death of Hua Zheng (one of his childhood friend), who is assumed to be dead. I believe she's still alive as they haven't show anything that link to her death yet. This scene is in episode 18 or 19. There are many more of Hu Ge & Ariel moments (prior to the scene below) that I'll definitely share on my next updates.

First, she showed him his favorite: drumsticks, then she put on a stick figures show, hoping to get a smile from him. Unsucessfully doing so, she sadly said: "I thought when I laugh, you laugh"
Not giving up, Huang Rong (Ariel) brought in some comedic performers and she herself was standing on the chair, doing poses and dancing. But Guo Jing (Hu Ge) was really sad about his friend's death and couldn't bring himself to feel happy so he left after saying sorry to Huang Rong.
She chased after him, gave him some good slaps so that he could let his griefs and tears out. And then ended up slapping and blaming herself for wishing Hua Zheng to die. It's touching to see how they hugged each other and cried their hearts out.

Hu Ge and Ariel make a very compatible onscreen couple. I really love them together :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, I was really busy last week with all the finals and when finals were finally over, I had to do my Christmas shopping. Anyway, I decided to stop watching "Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008" and wait out until the whole series release so I can pick up the DVD; just because I really like this series and I have a feeling that I would want to rewatch it from times to times. I love Hu Ge and Ariel...lol as if I haven't expressed how much I like them in my recent posts. Frankly, I haven't loved any couple this much since Julian & Charmaine. Speaking of Charm, Congrats to her and Joe (Ma) for winning the "Favorite HK-Taiwan Actress/Actor" at the TVS award. Another good news is that "Easterly" has released most of its episodes so I hope to get my hands on the series some times next week. Below are some beautiful "Condor" artworks, credits to miriam as marked :)
